Northstar Marine Electronics has a range of navigation tools, including the Chartplotter 8000i, a multipurpose instrument with a 12 inch touchscreen display. If you  a're going  to  acquire  one piece of equipment  in addition  than a VHF radio, then you might  consider  the 8000i.
