Putting In Car Stereo Systems

In every car that we purchase we look for distinct aspects that will make us happy. There are certain things that we should settle for and other items that we should put in ourselves. The simplest to put in by ourselves is a stereo system.

Attempting to wire this is not a difficult process. First you must disconnect the negative cable from the battery. To set up your new speakers you have to then take off the panels along the speaker enclosure and remove the old ones.

In many vehicles the older unit's wires will be connected utilizing a metal clip that is able to slide right off and onto the new one. If this is not the case than you will need to cut the wires off, peel off half an inch, and cut six inches off the wire that came with the new unit. Now strip a half inch off of these and twist to unite them to the pre-existing wires. Make sure to bend them so that they are lined up and utilize electrical tape to secure them together.

Now attach the connectors to the new unit. The negative wire must go to the negative terminal on the unit and the positive wire to the positive one. You than need to screw in each speaker in the correct place. Any crossover or component units must be fastened so that they do not move when driving.

To put in the head unit comply with the needed instructions on the best way to remove the portion of the dash that will take you to it. Get rid of the present unit and connect the wires using the connectors to the old radio set. Connect the antenna cable onto the new head unit. Before placing the head unit back make sure to connect the amplifiers. Put each of the enclosures back on when you are finished with the stereo system set up.

Langevin Stereo Elop Limiter $1620 Set it and forget it! The Langevin Stereo-Optical ELOP Limiter makes your job easy. The principle of operation is based around using a rectified sample of the audio to shine an LED (Light Emitting Diode) onto an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor). The photo-resistor in combination with a fixed resistor simply act as a changing voltage divider to attenuate the signal &mdash like a smart volume control. A similar principle was found in the older Teletronix & Urei LA-2A, LA-3, and LA-4 units, which used a slower electro-luminescent panel-light on a conventional LDR encased in a light-tight enclosure.
